Will There Be an Eleventh Season of CSI: Miami?

CSI: Miami has been around for a very long time, and was once a huge hit show.  However, its ratings have dropped sharply ever since its move to Sundays in the fall of 2010.  Contrast that with another veteran show that moved in the fall of 2010 after a long stay at its previous position, Survivor.  While Survivor's ratings have fallen somewhat, it is still a major player in the television landscape (after 24 seasons!).

Assuming that CBS decides to expand sitcom time, there will be nowhere on the schedule to put CSI: Miami, unless CBS decides to do something weird.  However, CSI: Miami is still good for about a 2.0 rating late on a Sunday night, in a position that is frequently delayed by sports.  I see the possibility that CBS will only premiere two new dramas and give CSI: Miami a timeslot in the fall.  I also think that they could put Miami on midseason duty.

Another factor helping CSI: Miami is that oddly worded syndication deal that it signed this year, which included seasons eleven and twelve.  I think that CBS will likely find a way to renew this one, and I give it a 75% chance at renewal.
